  • Public holidays

    Public holiday hours are paid at 250% ordinary rate. Alternatively, by agreement, a doctor may choose to be paid at base rate, and have 1.5 days added to their annual leave (cl. 63.7)
  • Night rate

    $0.00 per hour

    Night rate is payable for shifts finishing after midnight, or beginning between midnight and 6.30am (cl 37.5)
  • Late finish penalty

    $0.00 per shift

    Late finish penalty is payable for shifts that finish after 6pm (cl. 37.3)
  • Overtime (first two hours Mon - Sat)

    $0.00 per hour

    Overtime is payable for working rostered hours in excess of 38 hours per week (or 43 hours for registrars). Part one overtime rate is payable for the first 2 hours of overtime worked on Mon - Sat (cl. 36.3)
  • Overtime (after 2 hours Mon - Sat, and all Sunday)

    $0.00 per hour

    Part two overtime is payable for each hour of overtime on Mon - Sat over the first 2 hours, and for overtime worked on Sundays (cl. 36.3)
  • Short notice penalty (8 - 14 days)

    Short notice penalty is payable for roster changes where 8 - 14 days notice was given of the change. Double this amount is payable where 7 days or less notice is given (cl. 35.5)
